PROJECTS
2010 - 2011 (employed by Yukon College)
Coordinated, Researched, Wrote, and Illustrated a brand new college curriculum to train First Nation and Community Employment Training Officers. The finished product is jointly owned by Yukon College and The Yukon Mine Training Association.
2009 - 2010 (employed by Yukon College)
Developed and delivered a semester long iteration of the Canadian Government sponsored Targeted Initiative for Older Workers at the Carcross Campus of Yukon College. Part of this project included developing a custom course to introduce computer hardware and software to students, along with another course that introduced digital imaging, emphasizing photographic concepts.
2008 - 2009 (employed by The Whitehorse Star)
Researched, wrote, and took photographs for a series of biographical pieces detailing the professional development of a number of respected Yukon Artists.
2005 - 2006 (employed by What’s Up Yukon)
Researched, wrote, and illustrated a regular and very popular column called Wheeler’s Walkabout, which described wilderness trails in the southern Yukon and Northern BC. Each column generally included a hand drawn and illustrated map, a photographic collage or an illustration to add value to the written work
